ios 10 does no more connect to Samsung camera (wifi)

My Samsung NX3000 has a wifi access point to transfer prictures to mobile devices. The wifi connection ist unprotected, With IOS 10, after connecting to the cameras wifi (and getting the warning about unprotected networks), the respective Samsung app (Samsung SMAART CAMERA) on the iphone says no camera connected. No problem with IOS9. Does IOS 10 block unprotected networks or does it just warn of them?

Thanks for help

Hai!

I'm not sure if you have figured out the solution to this issue but i think i found my way around since i too faced the same issue when i updated my phone to ios10. I have Samsung NX Mini camera.

So what i did:

1. Make sure you set the wifi on the camera with PIN. So when your phone try to connect to the wifi it will require you to put in the password. I think this removes the "security recommendation"

So it says you are connected to the wifi as it will have a blue tick next to the wifi name right? But it's actually not connected because there isn't wifi logo yet. So...

2. Click on the wifi name or the (i) and enter below info:

DNS: 8.8.4.4 (This is actually Google server)

Search Domain: home

Click back and you will now see the wifi logo which means you are connected to camera wifi! Then you just have to launch the camera app as per usual :)

Hopefully this will work for you as it did with me. Have been searching high and low for the solution to this issue. Good luck!
